The World of Whisperwood

A small gnome is holding a lantern, shining its light through Whisperwood Forest.

The Star Gatherer

When evening settles over Whisperwood Forest, a small lantern begins to glow beneath the roots of an old oak tree.

This is where the Star Gatherer lives.

Each night he walks quietly through the forest, looking for fallen stars that have drifted down from the sky. With the help of his forest friends — and sometimes a little kindness from children far away — he helps their light return to the night.

The Whisperwood stories follow these gentle nighttime journeys, guiding children through calm moments, small acts of care, and the peaceful rhythm of bedtime.

A Bedtime Journey Through Whisperwood

The Whisperwood series is a collection of gentle bedtime stories designed to guide children through their evening routine. Each night brings a new small adventure in the forest — a fallen star hidden among dewdrops, a quiet stream reflecting the moon, or a forest friend who needs a little help.

The stories unfold slowly and calmly, creating a peaceful rhythm that children can return to each evening.

Throughout the journey, children are invited to pause, reflect, and notice the small kind moments of their day. Just like the Star Gatherer cares for the fallen stars, little helpers can care for the world around them.

Each story ends with a quiet closing that gently leads children into sleep, as the forest settles under the night sky.

A Week in Whisperwood

Seven gentle nights. Seven small journeys.
Each one a quiet step into sleep.

A Quiet Forest at Night

Whisperwood is a peaceful forest where streams murmur softly, moss grows thick beneath the trees, and lantern light glows warmly in the evening air.

Many gentle creatures live here. Some watch from the branches, some wander along the forest floor, and others rest beside the water. Though the Star Gatherer walks alone most nights, he is never truly alone in the forest.

Together they watch the stars, listen to the quiet sounds of the night, and welcome each new evening as it arrives.

Meet some of the Forest Friends

Along his nightly walks, the Star Gatherer meets many quiet companions who share the forest.

Pip the Hedgehog

A curious little hedgehog who inspects everything very carefully.

Finn the Frog

A thoughtful frog who lives beside the forest stream.

Liora the Deer

A gentle watcher who often appears at the edge of the clearing.

Runa the Fox

A quiet night companion who sees many things in the dark.

Letters to Whisperwood

From time to time, children send drawings, questions, or kind moments to the Star Gatherer.

With the help of a grown-up, little helpers can send their messages to Whisperwood. Sometimes the lantern glows a little brighter when a new letter arrives.

A few of these drawings and letters are shared here so the forest can admire them too.
